Sintra is a really enchanting place hidden up in the mountains, which is definitely worth a visit during your Erasmus adventure in Lisbon!
Take a walk in the shoes of the old Portuguese Royals and secret organisations for a day. Visit some incredible and unique castles, the adorable village made up of small streets and tiny houses or walk around in the magical gardens of Sintra and get lost in their story with us!
✰ WHAT WE ARE GOING TO VISIT ✰
→ Sintra National Palace - It is the best-preserved medieval royal residence in Portugal and former residence of the last Queen Mother of our country.
→ Quinta da Regaleira - This romantic palace not far from the historic center of Sintra is one of the town’s most important sights. Behind its Gothic exterior you find five floors, but the main attraction can be found outside. The residence is surrounded by a luxurious park with lots of springs, fountains and lakes as well as a huge number of exquisite constructions and labyrinths that enhance its fantastical and mythical past.
You will descend into the open maw of the initiation well and navigate the powerful stone tunnels beneath, climb towers worthy of princesses and explore grottos of greek mythology. You will leave our tour laden with knowledge of the freemasons of Portugal, brimming with the peace you found and, most importantly, bestowed with the magic Sintra.
