DESCRIPTION

Sintra is located about 30 minutes northwest of Lisbon, this lovely town is a must-do day trip. World-famous for its incredible architecture which looks like it’s been taken out of a fairytale, it is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Take a walk with us through the narrow old town where many painters worked and were inspired for hundreds of years. This town, also offers amazing hiking trails for visiting its numerous sights or just enjoying the stunning views and incredible nature.

As if that was not enough already, this area also contains one of the most beautiful coastal areas of Portugal including the Most Western Point of the European Mainland – Cabo da Roca.

• Moorish Castle: the Castle of the Moors or Moorish Castle is a hilltop medieval castle located in the central Portuguese civil parish of Santa Maria e São Miguel, in the municipality of Sintra.
• Quinta da Regaleira: this romantic palace not far from the historic center of Sintra is one of the town’s most important sights, surrounded by a luxurious park with lots of springs, fountains and lakes as well as a huge number of exquisite constructions.
• Mosteiro da Peninha: the Sanctuary of Peninha  is situated in the Sintra Mountains in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, in the Lisbon District of Portugal.
• Cabo da Roca: is a cape which forms the westernmost point of the Sintra Mountain Range, of mainland Portugal, of continental Europe, and of the Eurasian landmass.
